Four ATS-tested templates
Single column, real text, standard headings in your CV's language. Every template is re-parsed by a PDF parser in our test suite before it ships.
Modern
Single-column Swiss-inspired layout with indigo accents — best for tech and product roles.
Professional
Dark header band over a single serif column. Refined, corporate, and fully ATS-readable.
Bold
Full-bleed red banner with a clean single-column body — confident, magazine-style.
Classic
Centered serif layout with hairline rules — ideal for law, academia, and traditional roles.

Frequently asked questions
How does cvmakeover.ai work?+
Upload your CV as a PDF or DOCX, plus the job description if you have one. We extract the text the way an applicant tracking system does, score it against parsing, structure, content and keyword checks, and rewrite it into an ATS-tested template. You preview the result and the new score for free, then pay once to download.
Is the ATS check free?+
Yes. The ATS report and the preview of your rewritten CV are free. You pay the one-time $9.99 fee only to download the finished PDF and Word file.
How much does it cost?+
A single flat one-time fee per CV — $9.99, shown in your local currency. No subscriptions, no credits, no upsells. You can re-download the same CV any time from your dashboard.
Is the output ATS-friendly?+
Yes. All four templates are single-column, use real text (not images) and standard section headings in your CV's own language. Each one is rendered and re-parsed by a PDF parser in our automated tests before release, and the ATS check in the preview shows that same re-parse for your own CV.
Which file formats can I upload?+
PDF and DOCX, up to 10MB. Scanned image-only PDFs work best when the text has been OCR'd first.
What happens to my data?+
Your CV is stored encrypted and is never shared, sold, or used to train models. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us from the address you used.
Can I edit my CV after the AI rewrite?+
Yes. The preview lets you tweak any section before paying — swap templates, change page size, and edit individual bullets. After payment you can re-download as many times as you like.
Do you follow country-specific CV conventions?+
We adapt to the locale you sign in with — for example, Finnish CVs typically include a photo, German Lebensläufe use a structured tabular layout, and UK/US CVs avoid personal details like date of birth.
Will the AI add keywords I don't have?+
No. The rewrite only uses skills and facts already in your CV. Where the job ad uses a different word for something you have done (for example "PostgreSQL" for "Postgres"), it switches to the ad's wording. Keywords you don't cover are listed as gaps, and you decide whether to add them.
What does the ATS score measure?+
It is the share of our checks your file passes: whether a parser can read the text and its order, whether contact details, standard headings and dates are found, how many bullets show measurable results, and, if you add a job description, how many of its keywords your CV covers. It is not any employer's ranking, and every check is listed so you can see why.
